Last October, I was working on a PoC that interacts with HP Records Manager ServiceAPIs. These ServiceAPIs are REST like services that returns the output in different formats - HTML, JSON. I started with jQuery and tried to parse the JSON result. As this JSON result is complex one, I have to use lots of foreach blocks. But for some reason I checked ServiceAPI examples. That's how I got to know about AngularJS and Bootstrap.
Then I googled about these client side scripting framework 'AngularJS' and responsive CSS classes 'Bootstrap'. Both these topics were interesting one. So downloaded some training videos via torrent and developed the same PoC with AngularJS and Bootstrap. Lots of things in AngularJS which make developers life easier like two way binding, support to SPA, MVC/MVVM, etc., impressed me. A simple example to that tells the two way binding feature of AngularJS,
For the same functionality, we have to write a keyup function in jQuery.
Bootstrap helps to design responsive sites, the below picture of joomla site will explain what I meant.
By Bootstrap, we can design a site that rearranges the controls automatically when we reduce the screen size.
It's just an intro to both AngularJS and Bootstrap. You can find lots of tutorials on these technologies so I am going to discuss about the issues I faced and root cause of those issues when I used AngularJS to develop some PoCs. and a complete site. For site, I used lots of plug ins such as nDialog, FullCalendar, ui.bootstrap, etc.,
